The unique life changing power of camp

Why come to camp? What makes camp life changing?

To be honest these questions are not best answered with words, diagrams, or brochures. The truth is you just have to experience it.  You have to experience Gods creation in such a unique way that only camp offers.  Experience the most unlikely group of people coming together and becoming a family. One can not truly describe with words all that camp is in a way that truly encompasses its greatness. Seriously, It really is something you just have to...Experience. You have to come and feel the way it changes your life or you will never truly grasp the power of camp.

Camp is...

Camp is so much more than the activities and the location. It's about the moments, the ones that make up the memories of your life. It can be big moments, like sleeping away from home for the first time, or making it to the top of the pamper poll and leaping off with arms stretched out for the bar. It can be in the little moments, like taking a walk on the trails and seeing the wild life and beauty of Gods creation. It’s the moments when a counselor makes them laugh so hard milk comes out their nose. It's that very moment when they realize these people are no longer strangers they met two days ago but they are friends that they will remember the rest of their lives.  

At Camp Victory campers are able to get away from all the noise of life.  They are able to step out of their day to day routine and find new things out about themselves, try new things, build character, and start out on the journey to discovering who they are and their purpose in life.  They will step out of their comfort zone at times and learn that they can do more than they ever imagined.  One of the greatest things your camper will learn is that they are loved, by the staff but most importantly that their creator loves them with a love so fierce that nothing, absolutely nothing, could stop it, change it, or sway it. 

Camp strengthens faith, build relationships, builds character, teaches respect, and changes lives. There's no place like camp for the summer!
